Cheah Chen Eok is my great-grandfather on my mother's side.



This 60 foot high clock tower was presented to Penang by him in 1897 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria.

Welcome to the Oh (胡) Family blog. My name is Oh Chong Keat, my last/sur-name is Oh (胡) or Hu in Mandarin.

This blog is set up primarily to share my family history research and records. I hope to share this information with other family members as well as to open up opportunities to find out more about other ancestors.

My family resides primarily in the island of Penang, Malaysia or Malaya (in those times). My ancestors are from mainland China, specifically the province of Fujian.
